Kairos Cash: Multichain

If you are currently a holder or a user of our vaults, first and foremost, we thank you for your support. As Kronos DAO announced its vision to expand into the multiverse, many of you must have wondered: “What about Kairos Cash?”

In the Kronos DAO Multichain Roadmap medium article, we have stated our first and foremost mission: to target the general public. The core team is on this mission, working and discussing endlessly about how to build a bank for both degens and muggles.

Within the Kronos&Kairos Ecosystem where we are aiming to make it a Defi hub in the Metaverse, Kairos Cash will play its role as a Multichain Bank. As a decentralized lending protocol currently built on the Klaytn chain, users are able to borrow KASH, our native stablecoin, by depositing interest-bearing tokens as collateral. Now, by expanding this to the Polygon chain and also to other chains in the future, we will build a user-friendly, decentralized Multichain Bank where anyone can access blockchain-based products with ease.

We have mentioned numerous times in our articles that Kairos Cash and its stablecoin, KASH, would be the central component to expand the Kronos&Kairos ecosystem into the multiverse. After lengthy discussions and analysis of the market and strategies to implement, now the time is here: we are excited to announce that Kairos Cash will be launching our money markets on Polygon!

New Feature on Klaytn

Before we start talking about our multichain journey, we would like to tell you about a new feature that we had been working on during the last month. All development of a new vault collateral asset strategy have been completed, and they will be added to Kairos Cash on the Klaytn chain before going multichain.

Vault Collateral Strategy

A new stablecoin collateral asset strategy will be deployed before going to Polygon chain. We are planning on receiving ibKDAI as collateral to lend out KASH. This new strategy will have new optionalities added: details are below. (See “Vault Collateral Strategy & New Optionalities”)

Back to Polygon and Multichain

Lending/Borrowing KASH will definitely be launched on Polygon as existing feature of Kairos Cash. By implementing this main feature, we are looking forward to bringing in more revenue and users from the new chain.

Today, Polygon has a thriving DeFi ecosystem with a TVL of $3.81B which is more than 2x larger than Klaytn’s ($1.84B). With this expansion, Kairos Cash will secure more revenue and new investors by introducing vaults to native users of the chain.

KASH & KREDIT

In line with the logic of not launching a new token for Kronos DAO when going to Polygon, Kairos Cash will follow the same path. The core team decided that, in order to contribute to the overall Kronos&Kairos ecosystem, it is necessary the we bring the value of the same tokens to and from the new chain. KASH and KREDIT will maintain its name and value while deploying to Polygon.

KASH Liquidity Pool

KASH de-pegging has constantly been a huddle for the core team to launch new features on Kairos Cash. Currently, KASH price is maintaining its USD peg, but we recognize of the importance of its stability, so we came to the conclusion that creating a deep liquidity pool for KASH is our first and most important action plan while going multichain.

A new pool consisting of various stablecoins will assist KASH pegging, making it a more sustainable crosschain stablecoin.

Dashboard

We are aware of the inconveniences that arise from the absence of a dashboard showing the current statistics of the protocol. Features such as the protocol TVL, fees generated and total KASH borrowed will be displayed on the soon-to-be-launched dashboard so that Kairos Cash can be operated in a more transparent way that you, as users, can get the information you need at any time.

Vault Collateral Strategy & New Optionalities

Vault collateral strategy is also another “must” that needs to be developed on Polygon.

However, a few touch-ups will be added to the existing mechanism to enable a greater ability to control KASH availability: Borrow Limit Per Address and Variable Interest Rate.

• Borrow Limit Per Address
  We value community input, and strive towards improving the protocol according to the suggestions made in the community. Many users have addressed us, asking of the optionality to impose a KASH borrow limit per address. Depending on what this parameter is set, we can limit the amount of leveraged KASH a single address can borrow, therefore allowing more individuals to enter high-demand vaults and avoid all the spots being filled by few large players.
• Variable Interest Rate
  As of previous vaults, it was difficult to match the market demand of KASH with supply exactly, since interest rates are fixed. The vaults with variable interest rate implemented change that by allowing the protocol to gain a strong mechanism in maintaining the peg by incentivizing borrowing/lending to return the market to an equilibrium. In an instance of a depeg occurring or being close to occurring, an interest rate change can be executed upon in order to make more people either borrow KASH, or to pay back KASH, therefore adjusting the amount of KASH in supply. This makes the protocol overall much more bulletproof to depegs. Changes in interest rates will also increase the revenue earned from fees, thus accumulating more funds for buybacks.

Timeline

The effort is already currently underway! We expect Kairos Cash to be launched on Polygon within the second quarter of 2022. We will provide you with the exact launch date closer to the time of launch.

Final Words

Through our reach to the Polygon chain, the core team will continuously strive to provide the best experience for all our community. Upgraded vaults and new collateral strategies in the process of going multichain to Polygon will all benefit the value of KREDIT and our users.

폴리곤 및 멀티체인

KASH 대출은 카이로스 캐시의 핵심 기능으로서 폴리곤에도 출시될 것입니다. 저희의 주요 기능을 통해서 더욱 많은 수익을 창출하고 유저를 유입시킬 계획입니다.

KASH 유동성 풀

KASH의 지속적인 디페깅 문제는 카이로스 캐시에서 새로운 기능을 출시하는 데 큰 장애물이었습니다. 현재 KASH는 USD 페깅을 유지하고 있지만, 안정성이 중요한만큼 KASH의 보다 깊은 유동성 풀을 확보하는 것이 가장 우선적으로 행해야할 전략이라고 생각했습니다.

다양한 스테이블코인으로 구성된 새로운 풀을 통해 페깅을 유지할 것이고 KASH는 더욱 지속가능한 크로스체인 스테이블코인이 될 것입니다.

대시보드

현재 대시보드의 부재로 인한 여러 불편에 대해 인지하고 있습니다. 카이로스 캐시가 더욱 투명하게 운영될 수 있도록 프로토콜 TVL, 수수료, 대출된 KASH와 같은 수치가 곧 대시보드에 추가될 예정입니다.

볼트 담보 전략 및 신규 옵션

볼트 담보 전략 또한 폴리곤에서 필수적으로 개발되어야 하는 기능 중 하나입니다.

KASH 사용성을 관리하기 위해 몇가지 기능들이 추가될 것입니다: 주소 별 대출 한도와 변동 금리입니다.

• 주소 별 대출 한도
  저희 카이로스 팀은 커뮤니티 여러분의 의견 하나하나를 소중하게 생각하고 있으며 의견들을 토대로 프로토콜을 더욱 발전시키기 위해 노력하고 있습니다. 많은 유저분들이 한 주소가 레버리지할 수 있는 KASH의 한도를 설정해달라고 제안해주셨습니다. 설정되는 한도에 따라 한 지갑이 레버리지할 수 있는 KASH 수량을 제한하고 소수의 고래들이 아닌 더욱 많은 유저들이 볼트를 사용할 수 있도록 할 예정입니다.
• 변동 금리
  기존 볼트에서는 금리가 고정돼있었기 때문에 KASH의 수요와 공급의 균형을 정확하게 맞추는 것이 어려웠습니다. 변동 금리를 이용한 볼트는 대출과 상환을 장려함으로써 프로토콜이 페깅을 유지할 수 있는 메커니즘을 도입합니다. 페깅이 깨지는 또는 깨지기 직전의 경우 금리가 변동되면 더욱 많은 사용자가 KASH를 대출하거나 상환하도록 하여 KASH 공급량을 조절할 수 있습니다. 이에 따라 프로토콜은 더욱 강력한 페깅을 유지할 수 있을 것입니다. 금리 변동으로 인한 수수료 수익 및 바이백 자금도 더 얻을 수 있을 것입니다.

개발은 이미 진행되고 있으며, 마무리 단계를 바라보고 있습니다! 2022년 2분기에 카이로스 캐시의 폴리곤 런칭이 예정되어 있습니다. 정확한 일자는 런칭 시기가 다가올 때쯤 다시 말씀드리겠습니다.
